Panthers HC Dave Canales confirms change to starting lineup for Week 15

The Carolina Panthers are getting back some beef for Week 15.

As noted by head coach Dave Canales on Wednesday, Cade Mays is expected to return and start at center in the team’s Week 15 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Mays missed the Week 13 win over the Los Angeles Rams due to an ankle injury.

Canales confirmed the lineup change, which will see Austin Corbett kick over to right guard on Sunday.

“So Cade will play center, Austin will play guard—which he basically spent about six or seven years of his career playing,” Canales stated with a smile. “Feel really confident about those guys going out there.”

Corbett, who manned the right guard position in his first two seasons with the Panthers, started at center in place of Mays two weeks ago. The eighth-year veteran and Walter Payton Man of the Year club winner has also picked up starts at both left and right guard this season.

His last start at the spot came in the Week 10 loss to the Saints.
